Thk 'Superintendent: lays before the Provincial Council a comparative statement, showing the sums voted for the service for the year ending 31st December, 1865 ; the expenditure on account of that period, the amounts unexpended, and the amounts expended io excess of votes ; also a statement of the income and expenditure of the province of Auckland during the above period. EXPESDITUKE. The total expenditure, under all heads, for the year 1865 was £362,165 19*. lOd. There is a balance not accounted for of £7,462 Bs. 5d., which leaves a balance to be carried forward of £59 13*. 6d.
