1' , 1 XT it notilied for general information that at a date to be particularised in a future notice, probably in the mouth of November, 1865, the Provincial Government of Uawko'i Bay will offer for SALE and LEASE the valuable Lands, a description 0 which it hereafter given. , The districts in which theto land* are sifuate have only recently been acquired from tho native proprietors, and no land has been sold in them. 1. The TOWNSHIP of CLYDF, consisting of about 600 Town sections. This Township will be sold by public auction, aud offers' unusual advantages for investmcut. It is situate on the Wairoa, a liver navigable for many miles from its mouth, with a back country, containing large blocks _of rich agricultural land ; also, an extensive pastoral district. The Provincial Government have about two hundred thou3and acres in this district to open up for settlement, tho whole of this country is at present unoccupied, and will bo offered to public competition, 2. SUBURBAN LAND, adjoining the townihip of CLYDE. This block will be laid out in lots of from ten to sixty Jicros, and is nearly all rich agricultural land, a groat deal of it abutting on the Wairoa river. It will bo disposed of by public auction. ' 3. AGRICULTURAL LAND, adjoinini? the Subuiban Land at the Wniroa, and Mahia, and iv different parts of the Wairoa aud adjacent districts. There is a large extent of really Hue agiiculturtl land to be biought into the market from time to time, as demand for it occurs. This land, will be surveyed and laid out in sections, suitable for the occupation of agricultural settlers, and will be sold to the (ir.st applicant, at one pound per acre. Laud for commonage will be reserved adjacent to each block of agricultural land, for fourteeu ye«r», equal in extent to the quantity of land sold, or offered for sale. 1. PASTORAL LAND. — About 120,000 acres of Land, suitable for sheep runs, situated in Wairoa aud adjacent districts Will be divided into blocks not exceeding in any case ten thousand acres, and be leased by public auction for fouiteen years to the highest bidder. The sanction of the Legislature has to be obtaiued before these runs can be disposed of. 5. TOWNSHIP of tho MAHIA. —This township will consist of about 200 Town Sections. It is situated at the the shipping place of the Mahia. 6.ISUBURBAN LAND, at the Mahia, adjaceut to tho township, and of good quality. Will be sold in lota of from ten to sixty acre, by public auction. 7. About six thousand acres of tho AHURIRI PLAINS, well known ta be tbe richest agricultural land in the colony, and immediately adjoining tho Township of Napier, These blocks are held in lease from the natives, for periods of twenty-one and twenty-two years, and will be leased by public auction in lot* suitable for the settlement of an agiiculfcural population for like periods. It has been notified to us that the above Blocks of Land, under the heads Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6, will be offeied for salo on November 29, 1865.
