A meeting of tlie Papakura Association was held in tlie Papakura Hotel, on the 7th instant. Mr. McWilli.um -was votod to the chair; nml Mr. Edward Rhodes, of Drury (in the unavoidable absence of Mr. Crispp), having consented to act as Secretary, The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Sfcretary read a letter addrc<;«eil by Mr. James Bunciman to Mr. McWill>ams. the Chairman stating that tlie deputation appointed at lasb meeting tocairy out the erection of tho monument tt> the late Mr. Middlcmns, of Drnry, had selected a suitable tombstone from Mr. Hancock, who had engaged to have tho work erected by the end of the present month, or early in the ensuing month of January. This notificition appsaied to give satisfaction to the meeting. A letter wm reatl from Mr. "Robert Graham, ing that a bill on the subject of " c.ittle brands" ■would be b i ought forward during the recess. It was then moved by Mr. McDonald, seconded by Mr. Walker, and resolved : " That the fees to bo charged on all cattfe sold abthe Papak ma Association sale yawls shall bo as follows : —Hordes, Is. per head; homed cattle, 6d. ; sheep, Id.; and that such fees shall be payable by the auctioneers."
