In consequence of the urgent demand made by the officeis commanding the Royal Engmeeis in New Zealand foi an additional mimber o! men to be sent out to augment the Ctli company, now serving m that colony, an order has been leceived by Majoi-Gcneral H. Eyre, commanding the foices in the Chatham distnct, dhecting him to hold in readiness two officers and 30 non-commissioned officers and men of the lloyal Engineers for iminediitto embarkation. The men re-

quired have been selected from the depOfc and other companies at licacl-quarteri, Brorapton, the whole of them having completed their course of fieldwork instruction to qualify them for taking the field immediately on their arrival at their destination. The names of the non-commissioned officers and men have been forwarded to the Horse Guards for approval, and us soon as the selection has been confirmed, they will erabaik. — Ibid.
