THE COMMANDING OFFICER gives notice that after THURSDAY, the 16th July, he will deal summarily according to Military Law, with all men \i ho, having been taken on the strength of the Battalion, absent themselves without leave fiom Paiade or Duty. "jyrOTICE is hereby given that Settlers who are _LA desirous of preventing the spread of noxious Thistles iv their own neighbourhood, may, by making application to me in writing, receive the authonty lequired for canyiug out the provisions of the 9th clause of the " Thistle Act, 1858." NOTICE.

IN consequence of a large quantity of Sawn Timber, Shingles, House Blocks, Firewood, Posts, and Rails, &c, which have been on the Queen Stieet Whaif for seveial weeks past, — Notice is hereby given, that unless the above named articles are removed by SATURDAY, 25th instant, the 15th clause of the Whaif Regulations will be enforced, which is as follows :—: — "The owner or paib owner of any Timber or other article left on the Whaif, over the time specified in. these Regulations (which is 48 hours), who does not lemove the same, after notice being given, shall forfeit and pay a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds for every day such aiticle lemains umemoved.
