J '< ELECTION NOTICE. Electoral District of the Province of Auckland. IN Pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " the Regulation of Elections Act — 1858," T, Laugiilin O'BniEN, Esquire, Principal Returning Officei for the Electoral^ District of the Province of Auckland, do heieby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 14th day of Septembei, 1861, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an election will be held for the letum of a qualified poison to serve as Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, and that the Nomination of candidates will take place at the Couit House, Auckland, on Thursday, the third day October, 1861 ; and that the Poll (if necessaiy) will be taken on Thub&day, the twenty -fourth day of October, 1861.
