Sir, —I beg through you to call the attention of the Auckland Law Society to an article in the "New Zealand Examiner" of December last, from which I gather that two paities, whoso names do not appear on the Roll of Solicitors .md Attonnes in New Zealand, are acting as such in a certain matter to which that article particularly refers. Whether the client be plaintiff or defendant doe 3 not very clearly appear, but the writer gives us distinct notice that Bishop Selwyn and Archdeacon Hadfieldaie "actingas VieDeviVsattorneys" in the case. I would suggest to the Society the propriety of calling a general meeting of their members in ordei to devise means for the piotection of our pioiessional lights. I am jours, &.0., Le\.
