The prince regent nnd the Emperor of Austria undertake to firmly hold 'together oh the eastern question, on the ground of the tieaty of Parit; to pj event especially everything that can affect the integKty;of the Ottoman empire, and to confer oh this subject with the cabinet of London. ■ J ' "2. In the home question of- Germany, Austria has nuulo some important concessions, particularly in the military question ; she engages, moreover, to make no oppoiit'on to the liberal reforms identified' with Piuasian policy in the internal questions of Germany. "3. With regard to Italian affairs, the Piince of Pi ussia recognises that the possession ot Venetia is of real importance to the Austiiau empire; but ho declines all engagement on, this head n« long as the Italian movement is restjioted to the Italians themselves. If, on the other hand, a foreign power tdkes part in it, the prince regent undertakes to lend Austria tho support of the Prussian torces. " 4.
