AUCKLAND WATERWORKS COMPANY.

NOTICE is hereby given that application will be made to the General Assembly at the next Session thereof, foi an Act to constitute and incorporate a Company to be called the Auckland Waterworks Company ; and to enable such Company to make, construct, complete, and maintain Waterworks commencing at the Onehunga Springs, at or near Mr. Bycroft's Mill in Onehunga, thence passing through certain lands to One Tree Hill to a lieservoir to be formed there, and thence through certain other lands to the Highway leading fiom Onehunga to Auckland aforesaid, at or near to a house in the occupation of Mr. Simpson, thence along the said Highway to its junction with a certain other Highway called the Kyber Pas* Road, and thence by two branches— one pioceeding along the flist-named Highway to Parnell, and the other proceeding along the said Kyber Pass Road to a certain field adjoining such road belonging or reputed to belong to Mr, McLachlan to a Reservoir to be formed there, and thence along the said last mimed Highway to its junction with a certain other Highway called the Cemetery Road, and thence down such last mentioned Highway to or near to the Windmill at the junction ot the said last-mentioned Highway with a certain oiher Highway called Karangahnpe Road, and from such place and from Pnrnell aforesaid by pipes and other works into, through, or under the highways, strcets.ianes, and places within the town and suburbs ofAucklond or part thereof respectively all in the County of Eden in the province of Auckland, with all leiervoirs, cisterns, tanks, aqueducts, drains, cuts, sluices, pipes, culverts, engines, and other works and buildings necessary for the making, maintaining, completing, and using such Waterworks ; and to contract for purchase and, hold messuage's, lands, tenements, and hereditaments required for the said undertaking, & to take messuages, lands, tenements, and heieditameots coirjpulsonLy, and to, hold the same' either permanently or for temporary occupation ;, and to take and impound, direct, and collect streams, courses, and springs of water ; and to raise money by shares in the said undertaking'^ and to raise a further sum of money by mortgnge of the rates' and other property of\the Compiny and the future calls, on/the Shareholders therein [ and jq open and break up streets, roads, highways, lanes,, squares,' and alleys and to lay pipes therein for the purposes of the said Waterworks and premises j and: to furnish a supply of water for the domestic uses of thejnhabitantsot the said town and suburbs, ; nnd,a further supply .for the public uses thereof, and for thVSxUnguiihing of&reVthyreirfj-and tp'l'ey'y^ates ! upon the persons requiring, ' receiving! or using ■
