All proposals made at this Agency before the 20th February, will be entitled to participate in the profits of one year, more than those effected later in the year, in terms of the by laws of the Society. The Second Investigation of the Society's affairs shewed as the results ofthe five years' business, ending February 28th, 1859, a profit of more than 50 per cent, on the liabilities. After making an ample reserve, the profit divided among the members amounted to more than 40 per cent, on the value of the policies.
