RIFLE SHOOTING, VOLUNTEER FORCE.
We have been favored with the following :—: — Report of the firing, for the Rifle, and Silver Vase, presented by Dr. Campbell, during the month of December, 1859. White Target, 6 feet by 2 feet, with Black circumference of 2 feet in diameter, in the centre. Shots only measured from centre of circumference, 13 inches for a hit in any other place, 14 inches for a miss. The two members having the smallest number scored against their names, declared winners, firing standing without a rest. The best to have the choice of either of the Prizes. The Rifle becomes the property of the* winner, and the Vase, to be held for a year (until December, 1860.)

The position in firing and remark* applicable to it, as laid down in the book of instructions, have been explained to the Force, and a very considerable improvement, has already taken place in those Members who fired last year at the camp, and, will, I doubt not, be perceived alsso in the whole Force at the next firing.
