AUCKLAND MARKETS.— Thursday, 29th April. The Mills. — Fletcher and Solomon's, fine flour, £18", seconds £16, per ton ; bran, Is. 3d. to Is. Gdt wheat, 6s. 6s. Cd.; maize, 75. ; potatoes, £5 ; kauri gum £9 10s. to £10 per ton. — Low & Motion :Hour, fine, £18, seconds, £16 per ton ; bran, Is. 3d.; wheat, nominal. The quotations for flour are similar to the latter at Mr. Partington's Mill and Mr. Brigham's. Bread: 21b. loaf4d. to sd. Building Materials. — Kauri timber boardf and scantling, 18s. per 100 feet, tongued and grooved £1 55. ; shingles, 13s. to 145. ; palings, 15s. ; bricks, £4 to £4 10s ; posts and rails, £3 ss.
The usual weekly cattle sale held by Mr. "W. Hunter on Tuesday last, at Newmarket, was well supplied with cattle, and attended by the average number of buyers. Fat cattle were plentiful and sold well, about 18 bullocks brought from £12 ss. to £9 2s. 6d. Store cattle were not brought forward in large quantities, those sold realized fair prices, bringing from £6 10s. to £5. Dairy cows of good quality were enquired for, a few sold from £11 10s. to £9 ss. Sheep brought from 225. fid. to 245. each.
