In the cat'le and sheep sales but little variation has i takeu place since last report. On Tuesday last, Mr. Alfred ' Buckland di-posed of a quantity of beasts for slaughter, at an average of £9 7s. 3d.— the highest fetching £11 55., : the lowest £7, showing a decided improvement upon the piices obtained of late. Six small calves sold at from 395. 1 to 15s. each. A dairy cow £8 17s. 6d. Twenty-six fat -, bheep fetched 275. to 20s. 6d. Thirty-one store sheep, from ( Tdranaki, averaged 16s. lOd. Fat lambs 10s. 1 At Olahuhu, on the following day, Mr. Buckland held a sale of store stock, and disposed of about thirty head, I 1 mostly heifers and steers, for which the figures realised j ; were low. The highest price obtained was for a dairy j cow, £9 15s. Six others sold at from £8 ss. to £7 each. ( Young steers and heifers, about £4 each. (
