Auckland Provincial Government Debentures. Superintendent's Office, Auckland, July 28th, 1856. NOTICE is hereby given that Tenders will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, the Ist day of October, 1856, from person & desirous of advancing the whole or any portion of the sum of Twenty Thousand Pounds, on the security of Debentures, to be issued under the provisions in that behalf contained in the two Acts of the Local Legislature of the Province of Auckland, intituled respectively "The Debentures Act, 1850," and "An Act for the Appropriation of the Revenue and other Moneys for the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six," namely, — 1. If a Tender be accepted, Debentures, se cured on so much of the Revenue of the Province of Auckland, as is subject to the appropriation of the Local Legislature thereof, will be issued for the sum advanced, on payment of the amount, in cash, into the Public Treasury of the Province 2. The Debentures will 'be payable to bearer, and will be issued for such sums (not being for less than £100, nor for any broken sum of £50 additional,) as may be specified in the Tender. 3. The piincipal will not be payable until the Ist day of May, 1865, nor until such further time after the said Ist day of May as the Local Legislature shall by an. A<?fj to be passed in that behalf, direct and appoint; and will bear interest in the meantime at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, payable half-yeaily on presentation of the Debentures at the Provincial Treasury, Auckland, on or after the Ist day of January, and the Ist day of July in every year. 4. Paities tendering are requested to state — 1. The amount they are prepared to advance, and the sum (not being below par) which they offer for each £100 of such Debentures. 2. Whether or not the Tender is conditional upon the acceptance of the full amount, or of any specified portions, of the sum offered. 5. Tenders to be sealed, and endorsed "Tenders for Debentures." J.
