Sir, — I have the honor to acquaint you, in reference to my separate despatch of the 6th October last, that I have this day taken the necessary steps to cany out my resignation as Superintendent of the Auckland Province, and that, on the re-assembling of the Provincial Council, on the oth proximo, early arrangements will be made to enable me to retire fiom the duties of that office. 2. I beg to enclose for your information a copy of the Provincial Government Gazette, which contains my address to the Electors of the Auckland Province. I have, &c, (Signed) R. 11. Wynyard.
