At an extensive trade sale in Sydney on the 4th inst., by MessM. Frith and Payten, the following prices were obtained — Pickles, in pints. 7s. 9d.: Havdon's, in quarts. 10s; 9d.-, salad oils, 18s,; Java coffee, 63d. to 7d.; cloves, 74d.' bran, 2s. Id. per bushel ; Java sugars. £19 10s. to £22 5 bright counter. £11 12s. 6d. to £27 2s. 6d.; Cos«?nore susar £36 10a.; loaf sugar £32: PaWtta limrs. %\A. to 3d.; Java rice. 225. per bag ; colonial soap £37 ; colonial candles, 6*d ; Geneva, key brand, 205.; Dem"rnra rum. 10 0.p.. 3s. 9d. to 3s. lOd. A small parcel of Martell's brandy was <=old at 13s. A large parcel of Byass' porter and ale, in four dozen cases, obtained from Bs. I'd. to 9s. The subjoined is the report of the produce sale held on the same day, by Messrs. W. Dean & Co. : — Beef tallow, £38 per ton ; dry hides. 6s. each : average sample wool lSid. per lb. : bran 2s. 2d. per bushel ; New Zealand wheat, 13s. per bushel ; Californian oats, 4s. per bushel ; maize, 4s. 9d, per bushel : Chilian flour, £28 10s. per ton; Scotch oats. 4s 9d. per bushel; oatmeal, 525. per barrel ; onions, 2^d. per lb.
