WAIROA ROAD.

At a meeting of the Wairoa settlers for a road to that district, Mr. Sharp in the Chair, the following Resolutions were passed. Ist. Moved by Mr. Logan and seconded by Mr. Young — " That a deputation of the settlers do wait on his honor the Superintendent to request that the £500 voted for the road be put on the Appropriation List, and handed over to competent parties for that service." 2nd. Moved by Mr. Wilson and seconded by Mr. McNichol — " That His Honor be requested to cause the line of road to be fixed as early as possible in order that the settlers might commence operations upon is before the rains set in." 3rd. " A rote of thanka to the Chairman."
