Tuesday, July 27, 1847, PanSEKT: — The Governor, the Colonial Secretary, the Attorney General, the Colonial Treasvuer, William Brown, "William Donnelly, Esqrs.,— Absent— A. Domett, Esq. Ths minutes of last meeting being read and confirmed, Mi". Donnelly rose to present a Memorial from the Members of the "Auckland Total Abstinence Society," in favor of the kale of Spirits Bill. On the -notion of Mr. Donnelly t seconded by the Colonial Tieafurer, it was agreed that the memorial j should be i"ce.ved and jjiialed. _ j The Attcraey-Gcneral moved the first reading of Native Force Biil» and the Sale of Spirits Bill. The Colonial Secretary moved the firsc reading of the Gunpowder Bill. The Attorney-Genernl gave notice, that he should move the second reading of the Native Force Bill, and ths Sale of Spirits Bill, on Thursday next. Tue Colonial Secretary gave notice, that he would move the second reading of liis Gunpowder Bill on Thursday next.
