Van Hall—Hawkings The marriage of Miss Ethelwyn Hawkings, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hawkings, Shanghai, and granddaughter of Mrs. E. S. Little, of Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, to Mr. Eylard Frederik Maurits van Hall, Vice-Consul for the Netherlands in New Zealand stationed in Wellington took place at KeriKeri. The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mrs. H. van Hall. Hattein, Holland. The Rev. J. G. Heath, Waimate, officiated. The bride, who was given away by Captain MacGregor Macdonald, wore a gown of embossed satin, and a veil of net and lace. Her bouquet was of white roses and lilies. Miss Patricia Little. Kerikeri, coijsin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Eva Emanuel and Dierdre Dwan acted as flower girls. ITEMS FOLLOW ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Wtich-ptown branch of tpe Women’s National Reserve was recently held .-|t the residence of Mr,s. C. S. Eastwood. Musical items followed, songs being sung by Mrs. A. F. Downer, Mrs. ICcbuff and Mrs. C. S. Eastwood. Pianoforte solos were contributed by Mrs. E. IV. Meyer, who also played the ui-eomputii-menls. Miss Ln are Anderson played violin solos. The committee provided and helped serve afternoon ten. Proceeds of tlie party wiil go toward providing Christmas cheer for inmates of the Residential Nursery, and for women patients at Porirua Hospital.
