WELLINGTON LAWN TENNIS TEAMS
The Wellington Lawn Tennis Association’s selectors have chosen the following teams to represent the association in the Wilding Shield and Nunnelev Casket matches to be played on November 2 and 3:— Wilding Shield: Messrs. R. V. Robb, S. Painter, C. Fenwick, and R. Ferkins: manager. Mr. J. W. Neale: referee. Mr. 11. Moore. Nunnelcy Casket: Mrs. It. V. Robb, Mrs. .1. MeVov. Mrs. M Green, and .Miss N. Fleming; manager. Mr K. Kennedy; referee, Mr. D. A. Syme.
Champions’ Ex til bit ion. Exhibition lawn tennis will be played at Marsden School. Karori, this afternoon by New Zealand’s champions. Not since 11139 has tile Wellington public been given the opportunity of wnteliing so many leading players in action. They will be Messrs. Neil Edwards, Owen Bold, Jack Charters, John Crossley. Holey Ferkins, Don Franco, Ron Mackenzie. Stan Painter, Bob Itobb, W. Smiler and Jack Taylor and Mrs. I>. G. France. Mrs. M. Green. Mrs J. McVoy, Mrs. R. V. Robb, and Misses N. Fleming and M. Snelling. All proceeds from the exhibition will lie used to purchase tennis equipment for the children of St. Mnfy’s Home, Karori.
