BODY FOUND IN RIVER
HASTINGS, October 2G. The body of a single man, Raymond Vincent Phillips. 20, of Taradale, was found early yesterday afternoon floating in the Tutaekuri River. A .22 calibre rille was recovered from the river close to the body, and it is believed that death was due to a bullet wound in the middle of his forehea. The body was caught in snags close to the bank an had been in the water for several hours. Phillips left home at 7.30 last night mid did not return. The police were notified and a search was made.
