Vice-Regal. Government House, Wellington, October 20. His Excellency the Governor-General received the Right Honourable the Prime Minister this afternoon. This evening his Excellency, accompanied by her Excellency Lady Newall, opened the 57th Annual Exhibition of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts. Subsequently, their Excellencies were present at the Pluuket Ball at the Town Hall. Captain the Honourable D. E. A. Wian was in attendance. The Rt. Hon P. Fraser, Prime Minister. will leave Wellington today for Rotorua. He will return to Wellington on Monday. Dr. W. 8. Robertson, director of orthopaedic services at the 'Wellington Public Hospital, has been appointed to the staff of UNRRA and leaves New Zealand early next month. The hospital board on Thursday passed a vote of thanks to him for his “splendid services.” “He has put his heart and soul into tile work, and is beloved by. the children in the orthopaedic wards.” said the chairman, Mr. 11.
