DOIHARA SURRENDERS
TOKIO. September 23
Lieutenant-General Doihara, Japan’s “muster spy,” lias surrendered at the American Eighth Army headquarters. A Tokio correspondent says that the order for the arrest coincided with the arrival of a Russian military mission in Tokio.
Before the start of the Pacific war. Doihara was in command of an urea where there hud been many incidents with Russian troops along the Manchurian border. Doihara was also behind the Japanese invasion of China.
