Demobilization In Germany Virtually Halted
(Received September 24, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. September 24.
Army headquarters has announced virtually a complete halt in the demobilization of officers from the British occupation forces in Germany. The decision was taken because the release of officers in the early age groups left the occupation forces with serious deficiencies.
The order exempts officers required for urgent reconstruction work in Britain,
