Government House, Wellington. September 2-1. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Herrick have arrived at Government House.
Mr. Leo Cherniavsky, violinist, is to tour New Zealand iu the near future. This artist was a member of the original Cherniavsky trio which toured this country aud Australia on more than one occasion many years ago.
M. Alexandre Levifoff. left Wellington for Sydney yesterday. Isador Goodman. pianist, is already in Melbourne. Commissioner .1. Evan Smith, territorial commander of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, arrived in Auckland last Thursday after a visit to South Africa. He will arrive back in Wellington this morning.
