POLICE ACCUSED OF TORTURE
Joint Argentinian .-Action (Received September 4, 10.20 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, September 4. Two hundred and fifty men and women who were released from jail have started a joint court action accusing the Buenos Aires police of torturing them while political prisoners in the hist two years. Most swore an affidavit that they were tortured with electric spurs in w attempt to force confessions and to oblige them to disclose their underground associates. The spur transmitted a strong current into the body and affected the nervous system. Others alleged they were brutally kicked and were beaten with clubs and bare fists.
