Austrian Lecturer Now At Canterbury College

Dr. Karl R. Popper, at present senior lecturer in philisophy at Canterbury University College, Christchurch, has been apponted a lecturer in Philosophy at Sydney University- 'Che appointment was imide after a stormy meeting of the University Senate, says the “Daily Telegraph,” only a small majority being in favour of tlie appointment. The chief objection raised against the appointment was that Dr.'Popper is an unnaturalized Austrian. Though he has been in New Zealand since 1930, technical difficulties have prevented his naturalization.
