THEOSOPHICAL LECTURE
Inaugurating his lecture session at the Theosophical Hall on Sunday night. Mr. Geoffrey Hodson spoke of “The Wisdom Keligion Throughout the Ages.” Willi illustrations' through pictures drawn by a New Zealand artist, Nir. Hodson said that there was a body ot’ basic truths which was part of every world faith. This was known and expressed by St. Augustine who .said, “The identical thing which we now call Christian existed among the ancients and has not been lacking from the beginning of the human race, till the coming of Christ in the flesh from which moment on the true religion which already existed, began to be called Christian.” Allegorical stories were elucidated by the study of coin pa rative religion.
