IMMEDIATE DENIAL
“Is it correct that the Commissioner of. Supply, Mr, F. R. Picot, is to receive a Government appointment overseas shortly?” asked Mr. Watts (Opposition, Ilicear.ton) in notice of a question in the House yesterday. Mr. Watts said if this were sb would Ihe Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, give an assurance that his departure would be delayed till after the Public Accounts Committee had completed its investigations into the Supply Department. Leave to answer the question immediately was given the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, who said it had never been suggested that Mr. Picot should leave the country. He could not understand why questions of-that type were asked.
