COMMITTED FOR TRIAL
Patrick James Kearney, a labourer, aged 38, pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Mr. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrates' Court, Wellington, yesterday, charged witli the theft of a watch valued at £lO. lie elected to be dealt with by the Supreme Court and was committed for trial. Richard John Phelan, hotel porter, aged 45, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting a male and was committed for trial.
