STEADY PROGRESS
LONDON, October 18.
Steady advances are being made in .Italy against stiff enemy resistance all along the line. On the Adriatic front Canadian and IndiAn troops of the Eighth _Army are now two miles from Cesena, 15 miles up the main road to Bologua from the coast.
Fifth Army troops are also making progress and are engaged in heavy lighting.
