LORRY AND CAR COLLIDE
In a collision between the car be was driving and a lorry, at the junction of the Onslow Road with the Hutt Road about 3.30 yesterday afternoon, Mr. 11. Thornton, company manager. 7 Taipakupaku Road. Miramar, received a severe lacerated scalp wound and shock. Mr. Thornton, who was the only occupant of the ear, was driving along the Hutt Road toward Wellington behind two lorries. He moved out to pass the rear lorry but collided with the first one which was turning into Onslow Road. The front of the car was badly smashed. Only slight damage was done to the lorry and I lie driver was unhurt. The injured man was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
