The first: court martial in liberated Belgium was held in the Palace of Justice, the dome of which is blackened and scarred by the Germans’ attempt, to set lire to the building, says Reuter’s Brussels correspondent. Two Belgians who drove lorries for the Germans during the war were sentenced to 20 years’ hard labour. 2k Flemish guard who guarded bridges for the Germans was sentenced to 15 years.
