PREPARATIONS FOR ANOTHER WAR
German General Staff (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 27. A statement by Lord Cranborne, Leader of the House of Lords, in the Lords Inst night, that the Germans, realizing that they have lost this war, are beginning to get' ready for another, has received great prominence in the news. He said that fraternization attempts by Germans should cause no surprise. It did not mean that they had undergone any change of heart. “On the contrary,’ he added, “I believe there is accumulating evidence that the German General Staff, envisaging defeat, are already beginning to make preparations to win the next war.
