CANADIANS IN AUSTRALIA
(Received September 27, 7.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 27. A party of 72 Canadian officers and non-commissioned officers have arrived in Australia on specialist duty. They are members of the Royal Canadian Artillery arid Royal Canadian Engineers who will help in the installation and maintenance of special equipment. The party has been officially welcomed to Australia by the Canadian High Commissioner, Mr. Justice Davis, who said their presence here was a token of Canada’s interest in the Pacific war. Soon all Canada’s attentions would be devoted to the liquidation of Lite Japanese in the Pacific.
