“The Listener”
Sir, —In your issue of September 26 you publish a letter from “Selective” endorsing a- suggestion made in Parliament by Mr. Doidge that “The Listener” should be delivered free to all radio licence-holders. The suggestion seems, to me to be a very poor one. At the present time it must be presumed that listeners do not take this publication unless they make use of it. If it is sent to every licence-holder free., then every licence-holder will take it and in many cases it will remain unopened from week to week. The consequent waste of paper would be deplorable at any time, but is infinitely more so at a time such as. the present.—l am, etc.—SUPER SELECTIVE. Wellington, September 27.
