Two Fires.
The Wellington Fire .Brigade, received t-ttlls to two small tires yesterday morning. Tim first at 7.1) a.tn. was to u building firm's workshop in Gloucester Street. The cause of lite tire was not ascertained, but it had got a big bold on the workshop, and when the brigade arrived the building was practically gutted. Valuable machinery, tools, timber and other eqttipnienl were lost. The second call came al 11.28 a.nt. to <-t residence in MolesworUt Street. A spark from a neighbouring chimney set alight Ihe weather boarding. l>ut with the arrival of the fire reels the blaze was quickly brought under control. The presentation of hospital medals and certificates to the Stale examination finalists of -Into- Inst is to be held in the Concert Ch.-mibi-i- of the Wellington Town Hall ott October 10, at 8 p.m.
