U.S. AIRCRAFT PLANTS

(Received September 27, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, September 26. The Army air forces have tentatively selected eight of the most modern aircraft production plants for permanent Government ownership. Two more will probably be added to form a 1000 million dollars post-war production nucleus for combat planes to help to make petr'e permanent. "Willowrun,” which is now operated by Ford is not among those selected for Governmental retention, as Ford has expressed his desire to buy the plant after the war.
