Tim Him. “Lidice—the Silent Village.” giving the tragic story of tbe Czech mining settlement, as portrayed by the Welsh miners of Gwmgledd. was screened for the first time in New Zealand last night ata gathering of tbe Wellington branch of the Association of Czechoslovaks ami the Wellington Welsh Society. Held in the lecture hall of the Public Library. Before the screening the Welsh Po. c,e 'S women's choir sang several songs in wolsu. A number of solo items wore ulso gi\cn.
