For employing a waitress without, permission from the district manpower otlieer, Nick Nicholas, proprietor ot the Kio Grande restaurant, was fined 10/.- and costs bv Mr. Harley, S..AL, in the Magistrates’ ’Court, AVellington, yesterday. On two similar charges he was convicted ami ordered to pay costs. Edith May Collins, machinist, aged 20, was convicted and ordered to pay costs on a charge of failing to register lor wort: or national importance.
