New Zealand And France The Primo Minister, Mr. Eraser, Ims received the following letter from M. de la Tribouille. delegate in New Zealand of the French Committee of National Liberation, in reply to one from Air. Eraser — “.Mar f express to you my warm apprecialion and sincere thanks for the message you sent me today on behalf of the Government and people, of New Zealand on the occasion of the liberation of Paris and the fall of Marseilles. Your messrtge has been telegraphed. to Algiers for transmission to the French Provisional Government. The French people are proud to have New Zealand as one of their .sincerest and most loyal friends. By her devotion to democracy.. her conception of international politics and. above all. the heroism of her soldiers on the battlefields of the two Great Wars, she has won the admiration of the whole world.’’
