TALKS WITH ITALY’S NEW LEADERS
(Received August 25, 7.10 p.m.) RUGBY, August 24. A meeting between Mr. Churchill and Signor Bonomi, the Italian Prime Minister, took place on Tuesday morning at the British Embassy in Rome. They had a long, icordial conversation, which was followed by a luncheon given by the High Commissioner, Sir Noel Charles. Marshal Badoglio was also present at the luncheon. Yesterday Mr. Churchill met Prince Umberto ai a luncheon, and later Mr. Churchill received the whole Italian Government, representing all parties for an informal conversation.
