LONDON. August 23. Mighty explosions behind Calais and Boulogne shook towns in the Dover Sti-pits area 11>is afternoon, and the whole coast shuddered for long periods. It seemed that either the R.A.h was dropping great concentrations of the heaviest bombs on flying-bomb sites, or the Germans were demolishing their own fortifieat ions.
