ARMY APPOINTMENTS
The following military appointments were gazetted last night:— Hon. Colonel E. Casey relinquishes the appointment of Director of Railways and the hon. rank of colonel. He is succeeded by Mr. Janies Sawers, who is granted the honorary rank of colonel. Brigadier W. G. Gentry, 2nd N.Z.E.F. (Middle East) Staff, is re-posted to the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Major J. I. Thodey, .New Zealand Armoured Corps, N.Z.E.F., Middle East, is appointed temp, lieut.-colonel while coirmanding a battalion; Major D. B. Patterson. New Zealand Artillery, N.Z.E.F., Middle East, to be temp, lieut.colonel while commanding a regiment: Captain W. A. Whitlock, New Zealand Infantry, N.Z.E.F., Middle, East, to be major; Captain 11. R. C. Wild, New Zealand Infantry, to be major; Captain (.temp, major) P. W. Robertshaw, M.C., N.Z. Infantry, to be major.
