NURSES’ ANNUAL BALL

Medical Staff Present Approximately 500 dancers attended last night’s ball in the Majestic Cabaret given bv the nursing staff at Wellington Hospital. The bull is an annual'event and besides the large numbers of nurses and their partners, the medical staff was present in force. A “graduates’ waltz was a feature of the evening, being danced by all those nurses who were recent finalists in the State examinations, and their partners. , Specially invited guests included the deputy superintendent. Dr. Mercer and Mrs. Mercer, Miss Clark, lady superintendent, and Miss Milne, assistant matron. The nurses’ committee which arranged the ball consisted of Nurses •/. Grant, president, M. Verschaffelt. secretary, M. Gow, treasurer, B. Cattin M. Ferguson, B. Fetch, M. Nimmo. The guests wore received by Miss Clark, who acted as hostess.
