Mr. Churchill’s Speech To Fifth Army GREATER VENTURES (British Official Wireless.) (Received August 22, 9.40 p.m.) RUGBY, August 22. In three speeches delivered during his visit to the Fifth Army two days ago, Mr. Churchill made the same prediction that “greater ventures and greater achievements’’ were ahead for the armies ia Speaking at a mass formation parade of Fifth Army units, including W.A.A.C.’s, nurses, Brazilian expeditionary force aud Fifth Army soldiers t ot Japanese ancestry, Mr. Churchill said: “You will be playing constantly an absolutely vital part in the long and hard struggle for the speedy end for which we are all striving and praying. We shall shatter the sources from which the evil powers of Hitler’s tyranny are derived, which will be so obliterated, and blasted that for many hundreds of. years tione will dare to do the like again. I cannot predict an early end to the war but I can give no guarantee that it will not end sooner than we have allowed ourselves to hope.”
