FLOWN TO HOSPITALS
(British Official Wireless i RUGBY, August 20. Since D-day aircraft of the R.A.F. Transport Command have flown irore than 20.000 casualties from the battlefields in France to hospitals in England. In addition to British Army personnel, there were wounded of the R.A.F. and the navy among them,, together with United Stales Army personnel and wounded prisoners of war. Between June 1-1 and July 31 10,000 casualties were flown home, and the Transport Command has been able to double that figure in less than three weeks.
