“FLARE PATH”
Tomorrow night will see the opening performance of one of tlie most popular plays presented in London since the war began—Terence Rattigan’s “Flare Path, which is being presented for five nights In the Technical College Theatre under the direction of G. H. A. Swan. “Flare Path deals with the most romantic of all the branches of service, the R.A.F., and against the authentic background ot the day-by-day work of a 'bomber squadron, the author (himself an R.A.F. officer) has set a plot which is in many places uproariously funny, yet at times deeply moving, and always entirely satisfying as a tribute to today’s flying men. Tomorrow- night’s performance will be in Hie presence of his Excellency the Governor-General and Lady Newall Commodore Sir Atwell Lake, Bt.. Chief of Naval Staff, Licut.-General E. I’uttlck G.O.C. N.Z. Military Forces, and Air Vice-Marshal L. M, Isitt, Chief of Air Staff.
