GERMANS’ GIANT TANK
(Received August 20, 5.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 19. The Germans retreating from Normandy abandoned a Royal Tiger supertank, the first to fall into Allied hands, says Reuter's Normandy correspondent. It weighs 65 tons, compared with the Tiger's 56 and the Panther's 'l5. It has six-inch armour, aud is 23ft. long.
