BULGARIA AND PEACE
New Negotiation Phase (Received August 20, 5 p.m.) LONDON. August 19. Turkey is acting as intermediary in peace talks which are reported (o be going on. with Russian approval, between Bulgaria on (he one hand and Britain and America on the other. The Cairo correspondent of the “Daily Express” says it is confirmed that Bulgaria has forced the Germans to leave the strategic points which they occupied, throughout the country. This was one of the demands which Russia made to Bulgaria as a preliminirry to reace talks. The naval bases of Varna mid Burgas are now free of German shipping and the last German technical troops are about to leave Bulgaria.
